Job Description: AKG Apprenticeship Partner Program
The AKG Apprenticeship Partner Program is designed for high school seniors, offering meaningful, hands-on work experience that supports their academic success and professional growth. The program aligns industry standards with educational goals to recruit motivated students, ease their transition into the workforce, and build a strong pipeline of future AKG employees.
Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities:
• Apprentices will gain work experience directly related to their academic studies and practical skill development.
• Work alongside experienced technicians and engineers.
• Learn to operate industrial machines, assembly tools, and testing equipment.
• Support the production of precision components used in automotive, construction, and industrial equipment.
• Receive training in safety, quality control, and lean manufacturing practices.
• Participate in classroom instruction and on-the-job learning modules.
Requirements:
• High school diploma
• Strong interest in manufacturing, engineering, or skilled trades
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Mechanical aptitude or prior shop/classroom experience is a plus.
