Job Description:

This is a Summer 2025 opportunity located at CNG’s facilities in Massillon, OH, providing hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role involves performing routine preventative maintenance, assisting with die cleaning and roll staging, troubleshooting machinery, working with robotic systems, and maintaining repair records. The intern will learn to use precision measuring equipment, comply with OSHA and safety practices, and contribute to a clean and orderly work area. The intern is expected to actively participate in CNG’s safety processes and work as a team player to reach consistent output goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance functions per schedule.
• Assist with Die Cleaning and Roll staging.
• Learn to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a variety of machinery.
• Learn to troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic powered, electronically controlled robotic systems.
• Use precision measuring equipment associated with a manufacturing setting.
• Maintain computer-based machine repair and PM records system.
• Comply with OSHA and all safety practices in repair and installation.
• Follow safety rules and keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain a safe workspace and commitment to following CNG’s Safety Mission.
• Work as a team player to reach consistent output goals.
• Ensure safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activities.
• Actively participate in all safety processes.
• Carry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism.
• Look for, report, and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possible.
• Identify needed changes and make recommendations – find a better way.
