Job Description:

This is a part-time Student Intern position within the Talent Strategy & HR Technology department at L.A. Care Health Plan in Los Angeles, CA. The salary range for this position is $45,760.00 (Min.) – $45,760.00 (Mid.) – $52,024.00 (Max.). As an intern, you’ll be expected to function as a regular staff member as much as possible.

Key Duties:

• Assist with specialized projects and administrative tasks to ensure coordination and completion.
• Compile and consolidate reports and prepare presentations based on findings.
• Assist with various administrative tasks.
• Complete project timelines (if applicable) and ensure management approval.
• Conduct research and gather data for reports and presentations.
• Work closely with assigned staff and varying levels of management.
• Maintain cooperation and participation with key people involved in the project.
• Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules.
• Adhere to company policies governing confidentiality.
• Assume personal and professional responsibility for actions and activities.
• Maintain professional relationships with company employees and customers.
• Utilize a courteous, enthusiastic, open-minded, critical approach.
• Relate and apply knowledge acquired in the academic setting to the company setting.
• Develop self-awareness in regard to attitudes, values, and behavior patterns.
• Prepare for and utilize conferences and other learning opportunities.
• Being consistent and punctual in the submission of all work assignments.
• Provide the faculty coordinator with periodic progress reports.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
• Performing outcome analysis of pharmacy interventions for STAR measurement to determine most effective outreach program.
• Assisting with financial reporting of pharmacy utilization by trending pharmacy and medical data.
• A candidate with strong interest in learning and applying skills of a ETL developer to manage and implement technical solutions for pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

Required Education: Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree and field placement program.
Required Experience: Must have general experience writing, meeting project deadlines, and working with basic Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Skills: Knowledge of analyzing data through use of SQL, SAS, and/or other equivalent programming languages.
