They produce 10,000 concerts, club nights, and festivals for seven million attendees annually across the globe. Their premiere event, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, is the world’s largest dance music festival. The company was founded in 1993 and is based in Los Angeles.
Job Description:
Insomniac Events is seeking a Human Resources Intern to provide direct support to the Human Resources team. This is a paid, in-person internship located in Calabasas, CA.
Responsibilities include:
• Gaining knowledge of corporate special event management and activity coordination.
• Researching event venue locations for corporate-sponsored events.
• Maintaining an annual social event budget and forecast.
• Exercising project management skills for corporate events.
• Brainstorming employee engagement opportunities.
• Shadowing professional development and training opportunities related to time keeping & payroll, HRIS, recruiting & onboarding, employment law, employee relations, production HR, training & development, benefits.
• Brainstorming company-wide announcements and templates.
• Other tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age and currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school.
• Must be able to work out of the Calabasas, CA office at least three days a week.
• Typical commitment is 18-29 hours per week.
• Must be motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude.
• Must be an active problem solver with a sense of urgency.
• Knowledge of dance music and Insomniac’s brands.
