Job Description:
This is an entry-level professional position within the Information Security department at MLH. The role is designed as a training opportunity, providing exposure to various information security functions within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Learning and Development: Performing assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for successful performance in Information Security.
• Data Handling: Gathering and organizing data to provide information for departmental projects and reports.
• Communication: Conducting interviews to obtain basic information for departmental use and contacting other departments or outside agencies to request or provide information.
• Analytical Thinking: Applies analytical thinking techniques to information security problems and initiatives.
• Administrative Functions: Performs administrative functions.
Qualifications:
• Experience: 1-3 years of College coursework.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Basic mathematical proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, percentages).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
Supervision:
• The position is under close supervision.
• No supervisory or lead responsibilities are assigned.
Physical Demands:
• Light work, involving occasional lifting up to 25 lbs and frequent lifting up to 10 lbs.
• Requires close visual acuity for data analysis, computer work, and reading.
• Typical office environment.
