Job Description:

This is a part-time, unionized position for a Cashier at Cub Foods on Lake Street, reporting to the Front End Manager. The pay scale is progressive, ranging from $16.07 to $18.00 per hour based on experience. Work hours will vary and include Sunday – Saturday.

The primary responsibilities of the cashier include:

Customer Interaction: Building lasting connections with customers, providing excellent customer service, and problem-solving customer questions and concerns.
Transaction Handling: Accurately and efficiently ringing up customer purchases.
Store Maintenance: Helping maintain a clean and safe store environment.
Teamwork: Working with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient department operation.
Reliability: Arriving promptly for shifts and working as scheduled.

Physical Requirements

The job requires frequent standing, reaching, turning, and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling to 20 force pounds. Occasional squatting, stooping/bending, walking, and lifting/carrying over 50 lbs. The job requires operating equipment such as a scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, and calculator. The job requires judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, and math.
