About The Role
This role involves addressing a broad array of legal matters to support Neurocrine Biosciences’ Research, Development, Clinical, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Medical Affairs, Business Development, Alliance Management, and/or general administrative departments. The attorney will work closely with other members of the Legal Department to address legal issues across several disciplines, counseling clients, and drafting/negotiating complex life sciences arrangements. They will also advise and train business clients on contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Providing legal advice and risk guidance to business partners and stakeholders related to drug research, development, clinical matters, and routine corporate issues.
• Drafting, negotiating, and advising clients on a range of legal and contractual matters, including clinical trial agreements, informed consent documents, research agreements, clinical supply agreements, consulting agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
• Interacting with clients and third-party vendors to understand business requirements and ensure contractual terms align with company priorities.
• Potentially drafting and managing template legal documents.
• Acting as an advisor on legal issues involving government and regulatory compliance.
• Reviewing legal data and advising on appropriate legal action.
• Coordinating legal matters handled by outside counsel and managing outside counsel.
