Job Description
About company and job description, detailed:
This is an early-stage SaaS startup focused on building AI-powered content automation tools for marketers and solopreneurs. The founder is seeking a sharp and curious assistant to work closely with them across operations, business development, and product exploration. This is an unpaid internship or part-time assistant role (10-20 hours/week) that is remote with a requirement to overlap at least 3 hours with U.S. Pacific Time. The ideal duration is a minimum of 3 months. Strong performers may be invited to convert into a paid or equity-based role.
Responsibilities:
• Competitor Research: Investigate similar products’ pricing, user flows, marketing channels, and more. Turn findings into clear reports.
• Prompt & UX Analysis: Reverse-engineer how competitors use AI prompts and engagement loops. Document best practices for potential adaptation.
• Lightweight Technical Digs: Use browser dev tools, Postman, or public APIs to explore how other tools are built. (No coding required, just curiosity).
• Operational Support: Help organize internal docs, workflows, async updates, and meeting notes.
• Growth & Biz Dev Experiments: Assist with outreach, partnership scouting, pitch prep, and CRM tracking.
Ideal Candidate:
• Student or early-career person interested in tech startups, product strategy, or AI tools.
• Enjoys deep research, fast learning, and figuring things out with little direction.
• Fluent in English and can write clearly and concisely.
• Bonus if you understand tools like Notion, ChatGPT, Webflow, Airtable, Figma, or APIs (even a little!).
What You’ll Get:
• Hands-on experience in startup ops, product testing, and market analysis.
• 1:1 mentorship directly with a startup founder.
• Portfolio-building projects and references for future roles.
• Exposure to the inner workings of product-led SaaS.
• (Optional) Letter of recommendation or LinkedIn endorsement.
Application Instructions:
Send a short note with:
• 2–3 sentences about why this role excites you.
• Any example of research, writing, or project work you’ve done.
• Your LinkedIn profile or resume.
