Job Description:

This is a temporary, general administrative and operational support role within a CHOP department. The position provides support to ensure efficient and cost-effective utilization of hospital resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing general administrative support.
• Assisting with scheduling, taking minutes, and communications.
• Participating in assessments and analysis.
• Managing programs and meeting project deadlines.
• Assisting in editing, formatting, reproduction, and filing of program materials and data.
• Assisting with photocopying, scanning, managing calls, data entry, and data management.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

Additional Details (Specifically for the Fall/Winter Program):

• Opportunities to gain corporate experience through involvement in information technology projects, staff meetings, and corporate events.
• Training on relevant tools, languages, and documentation.
• Exposure to technologies like ERP systems, Epic, Office 365, and ServiceNow.
• The assignment is a 12-week program.
• Working under the direct supervision of the IS Business Operations team.
• On-site and hybrid positions will be offered based on the assigned team.

Program Timeline:

• Application Closes: Friday, July 18, 2025 (no late submissions will be accepted)
• Virtual Interviews: July 21 – August 8, 2025
• Selections Made: Week of August 11, 2025
• Program Dates: Monday, September 29 to Friday, December 19, 2025 (12 weeks)

Qualifications:

Education:
• High School Diploma / GED Required
• Associate’s Degree Preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Experience:
• Must be currently attending a college, university, or graduated within the past year.
• Pursuing or earned a Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or related Business degree
• Minimum GPA of 2.5
• Ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organization.
• Demonstrates excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
• Effectively working with others.
• Maintain an identifiable/professional attire at all times, including using identification cards.
• Be able to effectively work in a virtual environment if selected for a hybrid position (80% remote, 20% onsite)
• The ability to demonstrate flexibility and interest in doing a variety of tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Understand and comply with all enterprise and IS departmental information security policies, procedures and standards.
• Support the integration of information security in the development, design, and implementation of Hospital Technology Resources that process, transmit, or store CHOP information.
• Support all compliance activities related to state, federal regulatory requirements, healthcare accreditation standards, and all other applicable regulations that govern the use and disclosure of patient, financial, or other confidential information.
Skills:
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well with others.
• Initiative and good problem-solving skills.

Other Requirements:

• COVID-19 and influenza vaccination (or approved exemption) are required as a condition of employment.

Compensation:

Salary Range: \$1.00 – \$18.00 Hourly
