Job Description:

This is a part-time internship position based in Jacksonville, FL, ideal for a student majoring in a relevant scientific field. The intern will perform various tasks to support the laboratory’s daily operations, including:

• Performing miscellaneous tasks throughout the lab, including cleaning, ordering, discarding of solutions, organizing supplies, and retrieving and returning samples from sample storage
• Preparing samples for analysis and monitor some instrumentation with minimal supervision
• Assisting with the inventory process within the group
• Performing a variety of organizational tasks to aid in the everyday functionality of the laboratory
• Performing laboratory cleaning responsibilities of equipment and controlled rooms
• Working efficiently, documenting work clearly, and performing responsibilities accurately
• Handling special projects as necessary/as directed

The internship requires 2-3 weekdays, 2-4 hours per day.
