About the Role
LG Chem is offering a 12-month Procurement Intern position within the corporate Procurement team, supporting the Business Services Team for North America. This internship offers real-world experience in procuring items such as Raw Materials, Equipment, and Construction for LG Chem subsidiaries in the Americas. The intern may also be involved in sourcing new vendors and providing price comparisons. This is a full-time position based in Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities:
• Support procurement activities related to Raw Materials, Equipment, Construction, and MRO for LG Chem subsidiaries in the Americas.
• Perform all procurement tasks under the guidance of the team leader and in accordance with company policies.
• Handle key procurement processes such as Supplier Registration, Bank Account Registration, and Eco-Friendly Material Review.
• Assist and support the following tasks: Delivery schedule management for Raw Materials, Equipment, and Construction / Processing of customs duties and related logistics costs / Supplier payment management and reporting.
• Conduct supplier sourcing and price comparison for General Procurement (GP) items.
• Prepare and submit reports including HQ reports and weekly/monthly reports.
• Proficiency in communication, data analysis, and reporting using PowerPoint, Excel and ERP systems is essential.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Preference in Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain, or Economics.
