Job Description: Web Marketing Intern

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of digital marketing within a supportive and collaborative environment. The intern will work closely with the website manager, contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of the firm’s four websites.

Responsibilities:

The internship involves a blend of tasks focusing on website content, competitive research, SEO, and analytics:

Website & Content: Updating website content for accuracy and relevance (e.g., updating professional profiles, building image galleries); uploading and formatting blog posts and articles; sourcing and editing images; logging technical issues; assisting with testing new website functionality.

Competitive Research: Collaborating on competitive research projects, comparing website designs, features, and content ideas; monitoring key competitive metrics (website traffic) using tools like SEMrush.

SEO & Analytics: Performing keyword research and implementing SEO best practices; tracking website traffic and user behavior using Google Analytics; identifying backlink opportunities and performing competitor backlink analysis; assisting with reports and basic analysis.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, PR, Advertising, Communications, or a similar field.
• Junior or Senior in college.
• 3.0 GPA or above.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with WordPress CMS.
• Basic understanding of SEO, SEM, and web analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Creative thinking abilities.
• Desire to help others and contribute to the organization’s success.
• 20-40 hours/week commitment.

How to Stand Out:

Applicants with a double major or additional training in Computer Science, Web Development, Graphic Design, Psychology, or Business; direct experience with SEO, SEM, web analytics, and/or WordPress; familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana); and prior internship experience in digital marketing will be viewed favorably.
