Job Description: 2025 Summer Internship (Personal Systems)

This is a 12-week paid summer internship program designed for students currently pursuing a Bachelor’s (3rd year completed) or Master’s/MBA (1st year completed) degree. The internship focuses on applying classroom learning to real-world challenges within HP’s Personal Systems division. The program offers a balanced experience encompassing networking opportunities, executive speaker sessions, community involvement, substantial projects, and social activities. The internship is intended for conversion to a full-time role *pending performance evaluation and available headcount*, but will not offer work authorization sponsorship in the future. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US without requiring future sponsorship.

Personal Systems Division Focus:

HP’s Personal Systems division operates across three pillars:

1. Advancing Leadership in Computing: Development of laptops, desktops, business PCs, gaming PCs, Chromebooks, education-specific PCs, creator-specific PCs, and workstations.
2. Creating Leadership in Peripherals: Production of monitors, docks, webcams, keyboards, and mice. This includes products from recent acquisitions like HyperX (gaming gear) and Poly (video conferencing solutions).
3. Expanding Digital Services: Providing services to support the growing needs of hybrid workforces and digital platforms, leveraging HP’s PC and print expertise. This includes addressing remote workforce challenges through acquisitions like Teradici.

The overall mission of the Personal Systems division is to deliver new digital experiences through a full ecosystem approach encompassing PCs, peripherals, and services, with a focus on leadership in hybrid work and gaming.

Requirements:

• 3rd year of a Bachelor’s degree completed or 1st year of a Master’s/MBA program completed (typically a non-technical degree specialization).
• Full-time enrollment at an accredited university.
• Must be able to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2026 and not require sponsorship in the future.

Preferred Majors/Programs: Business Administration, Business Strategy, Marketing, Product Management

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

• Project experience demonstrating strong analytical, modeling, and research skills.
• Demonstrated coursework in business, economics, finance, or marketing.
• Strong executive-level presentation skills (storyboarding, development, and delivery).
• Demonstrable success in delivering results in a cross-functional team setting.
• Ability to handle ambiguity and unstructured work situations.
• Teamwork skills, including supporting others and leading executives and peers.
• Strong public speaking and workshop/conversation-facilitation skills.
• Ability to shape and influence the ideas and actions of others.
• Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.

Pay Range: $23 to $32 per hour (US candidates only). Specific pay varies based on location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, generous time off policies, and parental leave.
