About Kokoro Cat Café:
Kokoro Cat Café is a Japanese-inspired cat café that prioritizes community, culture, and connection for both cats and humans. They are passionate about creative storytelling, authentic engagement, and fostering joyful experiences.
Job Description: Marketing Intern
This is an 8–10 week, hybrid (Flushing, Queens, NY + Remote) unpaid internship starting in June 2025. The ideal candidate will be creative, driven, and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities:
• Content Creation: This involves collecting and organizing creative materials through photography, videography, and meticulous folder management.
• Graphic Design: The intern will create visual assets using design software such as Canva and Photoshop.
• Social Media & Community Management: Responsibilities include assisting with posting, monitoring, and engaging with the audience on various social media platforms.
• Creative Strategy: The intern will be expected to pitch ideas for marketing campaigns and initiatives.
• Paid Social: Assistance will be required in planning, tracking, and analyzing paid social media campaigns across platforms like Meta and TikTok. This includes managing creative assets, pacing budgets, and reporting on performance.
• Research & Insights: The role involves compiling competitive analyses, trend reports, and identifying potential partnership opportunities.
Qualifications:
• Currently studying Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• 1–2 relevant marketing experiences (internships, projects, freelance work).
• 1–2 professional experiences (in any field).
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage in conversations and ask insightful questions.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing deadlines independently.
• Open to feedback, proactive, and willing to suggest improvements for increased efficiency.
• A creative thinker who can balance big-picture thinking with practical execution.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for making a tangible impact.
• A love for cats is a must.

Training and Development:
The internship includes hands-on onboarding and shadowing, weekly creative reviews and marketing strategy discussions, and a final project where the intern will ideate and launch a real marketing initiative for Kokoro Cat Café. A performance bonus is possible based on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
