Job Description: Social Media & Content Intern
ELEVENO seeks a creative and social media-savvy individual for a hybrid internship running from April 1st to July 31st. This role is perfect for someone passionate about pickleball and eager for hands-on experience in social media marketing and content creation. The intern will be instrumental in boosting ELEVENO’s brand presence and engaging its community via compelling content across various social media platforms. The position involves both remote and in-person work at Patriot Place and potentially other locations in Greater New England.
Key Responsibilities:
• Content Creation and Management: Develop, curate, and manage all published content (images, videos, text) to reflect ELEVENO’s brand and objectives. This involves creating engaging posts, stories, reels, and tweets to showcase the vibrant world of pickleball.
• Community Engagement: Actively engage with followers by responding to comments and messages, and interacting with relevant content to grow the community and maintain a positive online presence.
• Analytics and Reporting: Monitor social media channels for performance metrics and audience engagement. Use data insights to suggest content improvements and strategies for enhanced engagement.
• Event Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote upcoming events, highlight player achievements, and share behind-the-scenes content to generate excitement and participation.
• Trend Monitoring: Stay current on social media trends, pickleball news, and digital technologies to ensure content relevance and engagement. A crucial aspect is promoting ELEVENO’s summer tournament (both locally and nationwide) and other offerings (pop-ups, lessons, clinics, leagues, corporate events). The intern will play a key role in expanding ELEVENO’s social media following to a diverse audience.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in (or recent graduate of) a college/university program in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (eligible for academic credit preferred).
• Strong understanding and experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok).
• Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), and communication skills.
• Passion for sports, particularly pickleball, and understanding of the sports event industry and hospitality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Creative thinking and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with paid social advertising (Meta Ads Manager, X Ads, TikTok Ads) is a plus.
• Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools is a plus.
Required Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, Canva, and various content marketing calendar tools. Experience with Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and TikTok is essential.
