Job Description: Business Development Intern (Summer 2025)
Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits is seeking a Business Development Intern for its Summer 2025 Internship Program. This program offers students real-world experience, a comprehensive understanding of the company’s various functions, and preparation for a rewarding career.
Reporting to the Director of Wine and Spirits Education, the intern will support one or more experienced Sales teams, shadowing operations and completing assigned tasks. A unique, strategically-focused project will also be assigned, requiring collaboration with cross-functional partners. The internship culminates in a final presentation to the Leadership Team.
Responsibilities:**
• Auditing and suggesting edits for educational materials.
• Assisting the training team with in-person training needs.
• Assisting with educational programs and projects as needed.
• Collaborating with managers to create and execute a beneficial project for the education department.
• Assisting the Sales function through detailed analysis of current DFWS product distribution.
• Researching current wine and spirits trends in various geographic locations and providing recommendations.
• Assisting in ensuring pricing accuracy across all distributor networks.
Qualifications:**
• Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate with a degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred, but not required).
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Basic knowledge of wine and spirits.
• Ability to conduct in-depth research.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for the wine and spirits industry.
Expectations:**
• A maximum of 40 hours per week.
• Hourly compensation.
• Remote work.
