Job Description:
This position focuses on various aspects of manufacturing accounting within Delta. The main responsibilities and tasks include:
• Daily costing: Analyzing and managing daily production costs.
• Price variance review: Investigating and explaining discrepancies between actual and planned pricing.
• Cycle Counting audit: Overseeing and auditing inventory cycle counting processes.
• Production Order review: Monitoring and analyzing production order data.
• Direct Labor/Overhead (DL/OH) analysis: Examining and interpreting direct labor and overhead costs.
• Overall manufacturing accounting: Managing the complete accounting function for manufacturing operations.
• Financial Management Review: Contributing to broader financial management and reporting activities.
Required Skills:
• Strong attention to detail with numbers: Accuracy is crucial in this role.
• Data analysis: Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data to draw meaningful conclusions.
• Understanding of system processes: Familiarity with manufacturing and accounting systems is essential.
• Basic accounting journal entries: A fundamental understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office: Especially strong Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.
Education and Experience:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in the fourth year of study) or a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
