Job Description: NBCUniversal Academic Year Internship Program
NBCUniversal offers a paid academic year internship program spanning two semesters (September 15, 2025 – April 17, 2026). Interns will work 16-24 hours per week, with schedules adjusted to accommodate academic commitments where possible. The program is fully virtual.
Program Highlights:
• Paid Internship: With hourly rates of $30.00 for undergraduate students and $30.00-$35.00 for graduate students.

Application Process:
Applications opened April 21st – May 9th, 2024 (potentially closing early). The process includes:
1. Application Submission: One-page resume, cover letter (highlighting passion for NBCUniversal, preferred locations, and areas of interest), and unofficial transcript.
2. Video Interviews (Round 1): Early May – Mid June.
3. In-Person Interviews (Round 2): Mid June – Mid July.
4. Offer Distribution: Throughout July.
Internship Opportunities:
Internships are available across several departments:
• Media Group: Working with brands like Peacock, NBC, Bravo, and NBC Sports. Focus on collaboration and consumer experience.
• Operations & Technology (O&T): A large division handling media, broadcast, studio operations, content supply chain, IT, engineering, and cybersecurity. Locations include New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Denver, Connecticut, and London.
• Peacock Data Science: Embedded within ongoing projects, gaining real-world experience in data science within a media environment.
• Peacock Data Engineering: Working on the GenAI & Applied Research team, focusing on generative AI platform development and applications.
• Enterprise Product Ad Sales: Supporting data analytics for NBCU AdSales, contributing to technical requirements and testing of data products.
• Data & Analytics – Corporate Analytics & Insights: Building data visualization products and solutions for internal stakeholders.
• Data & Analytics – Studio Analytics & Insights: Developing ETL solutions for studio analytics, leveraging Google Cloud Platform.
• Data & Analytics – Enterprise Product Finance: Working within the SAP ecosystem on data governance, FP&A, and reporting.
Qualifications:
• Basic Requirements: Actively enrolled in a degree-granting program (September 2025-April 2026); sophomore standing or above (30 credits); US work authorization; availability for 16-24 hours/week. December 2025 graduates are ineligible.
• Desired Characteristics: Junior or senior standing preferred; 3.0 GPA or above; experience with forecasting, ML, statistical analysis, deep learning, data visualization, data modeling, SQL, Python, generative AI, GCP, Agile methodologies, containerization, API development.
Important Note: While hired as an NBCU intern, the role may transition to SpinCo after the spin-off.
