Job Description: Applied AI Engineer
Hasura is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and real-world applications. This role is at the forefront of AI innovation, focusing on showcasing how PromptQL empowers developers to work more effectively with AI.
Responsibilities:
• Technical Content Creation:
• Develop comprehensive tutorials and documentation showcasing PromptQL’s capabilities in modern AI applications.
• Create technical demos highlighting PromptQL’s advantages over traditional AI approaches (RAG, tool-calling, multi-agents, etc.).
• Build and maintain sample applications demonstrating best practices.
• Evaluate and demonstrate PromptQL against industry-standard benchmarks and state-of-the-art technologies.
• Author technical blog posts on AI/ML trends and PromptQL implementations.
• Technical Advocacy:
• Stay updated on advancements from major AI labs and integrate new developments into PromptQL examples.
• Build and showcase benchmarks and examples of PromptQL’s capabilities compared to traditional AI workflows at meetups and conferences.
• Contribute to product strategy based on industry feedback and trends.
• Help shape the product experience through constructive feedback on documentation and onboarding.
Requirements:
• 5 years of software development experience
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, AI/ML concepts, particularly in AI application development, LLMs, RAG, tools & agents
• Strong technical writing skills with a portfolio of blog posts or tutorials
• Experience speaking at technical conferences or meetups
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts
• Track record of building and maintaining relationships with technical communities
• Excellent organizational skills to manage meetups, hackathons, speaking opportunities, create calendars, and proactively/reactively manage developments in the AI community.
Nice to have:
• Experience with building AI agents or assistants
• Familiarity with vector databases and embedding technologies
• Experience presenting to senior technical audiences
• Active presence in AI/ML communities
• Experience creating technical video content
Location: San Francisco, US (3 days a week in-office).
Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 (including bonus) plus ESOPs.
