Job Description

About the Company:

Chick-fil-A’s in-house agency is responsible for producing a large volume of marketing assets across various channels. The agency aims to streamline creative and production processes, delivering high-quality assets efficiently and cost-effectively to restaurant operators and staff. The agency operates under a “Flexible Future” model, blending in-person and virtual work.

Job Description: Designer

This role is within Chick-fil-A’s in-house creative production team. The Designer will be a key player in maintaining the creative excellence of the agency, working collaboratively with various team members and external partners. The position requires a strong understanding of design principles, particularly typography, and the ability to independently ideate and execute on concepts. A crucial aspect is problem-solving to ensure designs are clear, consistent with the brand’s visual identity (VIS), and optimized for customer understanding.

Responsibilities are spread across several stages of the creative process:

Concept Stage: The designer will participate in brainstorming sessions, develop design concepts for local markets, prepare presentations for stakeholders, and create initial design comps and light retouching.

Production Stage: The designer serves as a design expert for local marketing, ensuring alignment with the brand’s VIS and production processes. This includes creating templates, coordinating asset generation with external partners (retouchers/editors), designing final files (including basic retouching and versioning), and ensuring assets meet specifications for various media (print, social media, app, in-venue signage). The designer will also review project layouts, prepare images for production (adjusting color, size, resolution), and identify potential errors.

Planning Stage: The designer will collaborate with producers to define shoot details and needs, prepare for photoshoots, and coordinate with stylists and talent managers to finalize aspects like props, wardrobe, sets, and talent. Pre-production briefing and on-set support are included.

Dispatch/Closing Stage: The designer partners with the traffic team to organize assets for distribution to media partners and ensures proper file saving on the agency server.

General Responsibilities: The designer will consult with the brand team on projects to maintain VIS integrity, manage multiple deadlines, incorporate client feedback, and proactively seek opportunities to elevate the agency’s work and explore new media.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; After Effects knowledge is a plus).
• 3-5 years of professional experience in advertising or a creative field.
• Photography experience is preferred.
