Job Description:
Robert Half is seeking a talented Production Artist for a short-term (1-2 week) onsite contract in Phoenix, Arizona. The role requires a high level of proficiency in pre-press production and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
• Develops production-ready artwork, images, and graphics in various formats, resolving any artwork issues during production.
• Ensures quality and accuracy of designs, especially in the final stages of development.
• Reviews graphics, layouts, and fonts before project completion, recommending and applying image quality improvements (retouching and manipulation).
• Evaluates, modifies, and corrects die lines for boxes, bags, and cut-and-sew projects.
• Applies client packaging artwork to flattened die lines.
• Finalizes designs and prepares press-ready files for print or digital publication based on provided specifications.
• Collaborates with team members to execute design vision.
• Creates PDFs for client review and follows up to ensure requirements are met.
• Archives produced project images and graphics.
• Stays updated on graphic design techniques and software trends.
• Follows timelines to ensure timely task completion.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive pre-press experience.
• Proficiency with die line art files.
• 3D environment experience is a plus.
• Proven experience as a production artist or graphic designer.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Process-oriented and self-starter.
• Experience with Basecamp or similar project management software is a significant plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite.
