Job Description: Multimedia and Creative Designer

Position Summary:

As a member of the Office of Strategic Marketing and Communication, the Multimedia and Creative Designer will be responsible for designing and developing print and digital materials for various departments within the school. This role is crucial in shaping the visual identity that aligns with the school’s strategic goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

Design and Production: Design, edit, and deploy high-quality branded content across diverse platforms, including websites, social media, email marketing, print materials, video displays, presentations, and creative assets for paid media campaigns and merchandise.
Brand Adherence: Strictly adhere to established graphic design principles and the school’s brand guidelines.
Departmental Support: Provide graphic design assistance to various school departments for events, programs, and communication materials.
Collaboration and Execution: Work collaboratively with others, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to completion, while meeting deadlines and adhering to established procedures.
Asset Management: Maintain an organized library of brand files, images, and documents.
Photography and Photo Editing: Assist with photography, photo editing, photo archiving, and art direction for photoshoots to support the school’s marketing and communication objectives.
Event Support: Provide staffing assistance for community events, including some evening events, as needed.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, digital media, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a graphic designer is required.
Skills & Attributes:
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Canva.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to receive and incorporate feedback effectively.
• Enthusiastic, adaptable, efficient, tech-savvy, collaborative, and positive work ethic.
• Preferred Skills: Experience with photography, photo editing, motion graphics, video editing (Adobe Premiere).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
• Ability to navigate stairs daily.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
