Comcast NBCUniversal is planning a spin-off in 2025, creating a new publicly traded company (“SpinCo”) encompassing most of its cable television networks (USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY, Golf Channel), along with digital assets like Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. This new entity will be a significant player in news, sports, and entertainment.

Job Description: NBCUniversal Academic Year Internship Program
NBCUniversal offers a paid academic year internship program providing students immersive experience and mentorship over two semesters. Interns contribute meaningfully to major projects, developing skills in media, entertainment, and technology.

Program Details:
• Application Period: April 21 – May 9, 2024 (may close early)
• Program Dates: September 15, 2025 – April 17, 2026
• Time Commitment: 16-24 hours/week (flexible to accommodate classes)
• Location: New York, NY

Areas of Placement (example provided, others may exist):
• Peacock Performance Marketing: Interns will support the Performance Marketing team in executing digital marketing strategies. Responsibilities include: assisting in campaign planning and optimization (paid social, paid search, programmatic, affiliate); collaborating on creative development; tracking approvals; analyzing campaign performance; reviewing media proposals; and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
• Active enrollment in a degree-granting program (September 2025 – April 2026; December 2025 graduates are ineligible).
• Sophomore standing or above (30 credits).
• US work authorization without requiring NBCUniversal sponsorship.
• Availability for 16-24 hours/week.
• Willingness to work in New York, NY. (Note: Students on student or exchange visas are generally ineligible unless their visa status allows work without sponsorship).
• E-Verify compliance (active Social Security number required).
Desired Characteristics:
• Junior or senior standing preferred.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Experience/interest in social media marketing, asset operations, media planning, project management, data analysis.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Familiarity with Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, or similar platforms (a plus).
Compensation:
• Undergraduate interns: $17.50/hour
• Graduate interns: $25.00/hour
