Job Description: Marketing Intern
This is a paid, part-time internship (no more than 40 hours per week) offering real-world experience in the live entertainment industry. The internship is scheduled for Summer 2025.
Responsibilities:
The intern will assist the marketing department with a variety of tasks, including:
• Administrative Duties and Campaign Organization: Supporting the team with administrative tasks and the organization of marketing campaigns.
• Distribution List Management: Compiling and maintaining distribution lists for promotional materials (flyers, posters, etc.).
• Market Research: Researching target markets for concerts, identifying key audience demographics, and exploring digital avenues in various markets.
• Media and Influencer Relations: Maintaining a contact list for local media, researching and contacting influencers for marketing campaigns, managing partnerships, and setting up promotions with influencers while tracking their success.
• Partnership Development: Researching and developing new local partnerships with businesses, vendors, community organizations, and influencers to expand the local network.
• Marketing Idea Generation: Brainstorming and creating new marketing ideas with the team.
• Social Media and SMS Marketing: Assisting with planning and creating content for social media and SMS campaigns, including scheduling and engagement strategies.
• Radio and Digital Campaigns: Supporting radio promotions and digital marketing campaigns.
• Grassroots Marketing: Participating in grassroots marketing efforts, such as coordinating street teams and on-site promotional activations.
• Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Monitoring and analyzing marketing performance metrics to optimize campaigns.
• Final Project: Completing a final internship project (assigned at the beginning of the program) and presenting it at the end.
Learning Objectives:

• The process of marketing concerts.

• Building and maintaining relationships with external organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Recent graduate or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university (preferably in a marketing-related field).
• Previous experience (school, internship, or professional) is preferred.
• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
• Strong judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• Teamwork skills and ability to execute programs.
• Physical ability to handle tasks requiring walking, climbing stairs, lifting/carrying 50+ lbs, and occasional sitting.
