Flourish is a New York City-based fintech startup, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MassMutual Life Insurance Company, focused on helping financial advisors improve client service and outcomes. Since 2017, they’ve been providing independent Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) with financial products and technology not readily available elsewhere. About the Quality Assurance Tester Role:
Flourish seeks a Quality Assurance Tester to partner closely with product, design, and engineering teams. This role demands a proven track record in software product delivery and strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment, juggling multiple priorities, and communicating effectively. Key responsibilities include:
• Test Case Development: Ingesting acceptance criteria and product requirements to create detailed test cases for both new and existing features.
• Testing Execution: Developing and implementing testing plans covering regression testing and new feature testing.
• Bug Tracking and Resolution: Identifying, isolating, and tracking bugs through to resolution, documenting them in detailed bug tickets.
• Exploratory Testing: Utilizing exploratory testing methods to supplement planned testing activities.
• Collaboration and Prioritization: Working with cross-functional teams to prioritize and resolve bugs, maintaining a prioritized bug backlog and a centralized test case catalog.
• Test Data Management: Contributing to the creation and maintenance of relevant test data.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or Engineering.
• 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience.
• Proven success delivering software projects from inception to completion.
• Experience with direct-to-consumer software products.
• Ability to collaborate with QA engineering on a combined manual and automated testing strategy.
• Agile framework experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team, handling tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with complex workflow tools.
• Experience in highly regulated industries (finance, medicine).
• Demonstrated interest in finance, FinTech, or InsurTech.
Compensation: Base Salary Range: $104,900 – $137,700 plus bonus.
