Job Description: Finance Intern
Peckham Industries offers a paid internship program designed to provide practical experience within their “family by choice” culture. The Finance Intern will assist the Finance Team on essential projects, gaining valuable career experience. Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting with a cash automation initiative.
• Managing lease reconciliations.
• Supporting the transition of fixed assets to Viewpoint Vista ERP.
• Establishing record retention systems for offsite storage.
This internship is suitable for Finance and Accounting majors, as well as other relevant majors. The program runs for ten weeks (June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025), but dates are flexible to accommodate student and school schedules. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation and must track their time using the company’s timecard system.
Requirements:
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Current enrollment at an accredited college or university with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Completed online application (by May 5, 2025) including:
• Cover letter/paragraph describing major and interests.
• Resume (including LinkedIn profile, if applicable).
• One written recommendation from an employer, teacher, or professor.
• Proficient written and verbal English communication skills.
• Legal right to work in the U.S.
Additional Considerations:
• Travel: Up to 15-20% travel within New York and New England may be required using personal vehicle.
• Work Environment: Varies depending on placement (office or physical work environment). Some internships may involve heavy lifting, work near machinery, and prolonged standing or sitting.
