Job Description: Business Development / Marketing Co-op/Intern

Re:Build Optimation is seeking a Business Development / Marketing Co-op/Intern. This individual will collaborate closely with the business development and marketing teams, supporting business strategy, sales, market research, and client engagement across Re:Build Optimation’s capabilities and served industries.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Business Development team in creating sales strategies across various capabilities and industries. This includes conducting market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities.
• Support inside sales efforts by following up on inbound leads, assisting with proposal development, and maintaining regular contact with existing clients.
• Identify and reach out to potential clients and partners.
• Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives focused on business development and marketing processes.
• Attend industry events, conferences, customer meetings, and networking opportunities as needed.

Qualifications:

Essential: Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and personal management skills; comfort with direct outreach to clients (phone/video calls, emails, in-person meetings); analytical approach to data interpretation and identifying business opportunities; ability to work independently or as part of a team; eagerness to learn and adapt; a curious nature; ability to work on-site in Rochester, NY and/or Rush, NY; currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing from an accredited college or university.
Preferred: Minimum GPA of 3.0; prior co-op, internship, or relevant project experience in business strategy, sales, market research, or client engagement; experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.); experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools and methodologies.

Compensation: hourly rate between $19.00 and $29.00, depending on qualifications and experience. Employee ownership and profit sharing are also mentioned as benefits.
