Stride, Inc. manages 70+ online schools. This internship is a part-time, 6-month opportunity within their Marketing department.

Job Description: Marketing Intern

This is a part-time (20 hours/week), 6-month internship with start dates in March, April, or May 2025. The position is fully virtual and open to residents of all 50 US states and Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities: The intern will assist the marketing team with various projects, including:

Supporting multiple K12-powered schools’ marketing efforts: This includes website support, social media strategy, and graphic design.
Content creation: Developing various content, presentations, and marketing materials. This may involve blog writing (with SEO best practices), interviewing individuals, and publishing content on WordPress websites.
Social Media Management: Creating graphics and videos for social media channels; contributing ideas for marketing toolkits and YouTube content; assisting with webinar planning; evaluating social media metrics and preparing performance reports; managing social media content using editorial calendars and management platforms; collaborating with school staff to showcase student stories; suggesting best practices for collecting user-generated content; contributing to content planning meetings.
Administrative and Operational Duties: Assisting with day-to-day tasks as assigned; developing marketing materials.
Relationship Building: Forging strong relationships with internal teams and external organizations.
Communication: Ensuring thorough, timely, and accurate communications.
Technology Utilization: Utilizing various technologies and platforms relevant to the business (MS365, web proficiency).

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrating understanding of Stride’s management of online schools.
• Providing marketing and ideation support.
• Assisting with administrative and operational duties.
• Developing marketing materials.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external teams.
• Ensuring effective communication.
• Utilizing relevant technologies and platforms.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, Twitter).
• Excellent presentation and technology skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities.
• High level of quality and accountability.
• Strong work ethic and integrity.
• MS365 proficiency and web proficiency.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with WordPress and/or blog writing.
• Knowledge of SEO for blogs.
• Experience with photo editing and graphic design tools (Canva).
• Experience with video editing (Animoto, TikTok, YouTube).
• Experience with social media management systems (Sprout Social, Hootsuite).

Compensation: The anticipated hourly rate is $20.00, but this is not guaranteed and may vary based on several factors including location, experience, and market conditions. Benefits may be offered through Randstad.
