Job Description:
The Quantitative Methods for HIV/AIDS Research Summer Internship program is a 12-week, full-time summer internship funded by a five-year NIAID R25 grant. The program offers hands-on research experience in leading HIV/AIDS laboratories at Duke University.
• Target Audience: Graduate students in quantitative sciences (statistics, biostatistics, data science, mathematics, computer science, engineering, etc.).
• Project Focus: Interns are matched with research projects in clinical, translational, or socio-behavioral science.
• Mentorship: Interns receive co-mentorship from HIV/AIDS researchers and quantitative scientists.
• Program Success: The program boasts high success rates, with 90% of 2024 interns reporting the experience was extremely helpful for their career goals, and 60% expressing strong interest in a career in HIV/AIDS or healthcare research.
