Based in the Tesla Design Studio, they collaborate closely with designers on new products from concept to final release. Close collaboration extends to engineering groups across the company, encompassing part execution, testing, validation, and post-production updates. The team strives to meet aggressive targets and set new industry standards, prioritizing efficiency to accelerate the global transition to sustainable energy.

About the Internship:

As an intern, you will be an integral part of the team, working on challenging projects that expose you to core elements of their process. You will learn, grow, and make meaningful contributions impacting both your future and the team’s success.

Job Description:

Develop aerodynamic concepts and technology in CAD: You will be involved in the creation and development of aerodynamic designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
Utilize and develop CFD workflows for aerodynamic evaluation and optimization: You will employ Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software, specifically Star-CCM+ is preferred, to analyze and optimize aerodynamic performance.
Support physical testing activities: This includes participation in wind tunnel testing, on-road testing, and bench testing to validate aerodynamic designs.
Analyze, document, and present technical findings: You will be responsible for analyzing test data, documenting findings, and presenting your results to the team.
Develop software tools: You will have the opportunity to create software tools to improve and streamline development activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field.
• A curious mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to translate technical understanding into high-performing designs.
• Understanding of, and preferably experience in, CFD modeling (Star-CCM+ preferred).
• Familiarity with CAD software for creating and manipulating 3D surface geometry (Catia/3DX ideally).
