Job Description: Undergraduate Intern – CINT User Program Support
MPA-CINT at Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking an undergraduate intern to support their CINT User Program at the Gateway. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with creative outreach efforts for the CINT User Program.
• Provide administrative support to CINT staff and users.
• Collaborate with staff to develop distinctive outreach materials (e.g., marketing collateral, presentations).
• Contribute to the smooth daily operation of the CINT User Program.
Required Qualifications:
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with diverse technical and professional groups.
• Organization: Exceptional organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously; detail-oriented and proactive team player.
• Graphic Design/Software: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Google Suite.
• Customer Service: Experience working in a customer service environment.
• Education: Enrollment in an undergraduate program (Communications, Graphic Design, Business Administration, or a related field) with a minimum GPA of 2.75.
Desired Qualifications:
• Event planning experience.
• Experience with web content management systems.
Work Location: Onsite in Los Alamos, NM. Some work-from-home flexibility may be considered.
Restrictions: Due to federal regulations (National Defense Authorization Act), citizens of China, Iran, North Korea, and Russia who are not lawful permanent residents are ineligible for this position. U.S. citizenship is required for certain aspects of the position. A favorable decision from the NNSA indicating suitability under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2 is required for U.S. citizens. Foreign nationals are subject to a similar requirement under DOE Order 142.3A. The position does not require a security clearance but is subject to drug testing and background checks. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment.
