Job Description: IT Intern
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain practical IT experience and develop professional skills within a supportive environment. Reporting to the Associate Director of IT, the intern will assist the IT team in various tasks, including:
• General IT Troubleshooting and Support: Providing Tier 1 IT break/fix support, resolving common IT issues, and assisting with general troubleshooting. Mentorship from experienced IT professionals will be provided.
• IT Infrastructure Management: Supporting the maintenance and upkeep of hardware, software, and network systems.
• Facilities Management: Assisting with tasks related to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This includes moving and setting up office equipment (up to 45 lbs).
• IT Project Support: Contributing to the planning, execution, and monitoring of new IT and facilities projects.
• Collaboration and Communication: Working with cross-functional teams to understand their IT needs and provide effective solutions. Excellent communication skills are crucial.
• Documentation: Maintaining up-to-date IT and facilities documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Participating in projects to improve sustainability and efficiency within IT and facilities operations.
Required Qualifications:
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and apply them practically.
• A basic understanding of IT concepts (further training will be provided).
• Strong communication skills.
• On-site availability four days a week (9 am – 5 pm).
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and perform physical tasks such as moving and setting up equipment, working in tight spaces.
