Job Description:
This full-time Capital PMO Co-op position, available Fall 2025, will have you collaborating with Hershey’s Capital PMO Team to support the company’s multi-million dollar capital budget. The role offers extensive exposure to capital budget group owners across various Hershey facilities globally, including confectionery, salty snacks, and international manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities:
• Capital Project Data Analysis & Review: Proactively review, analyze, and assess capital project data from diverse sources. This involves auditing submissions to ensure compliance with Hershey’s capital stage gating process and verifying the quality of key deliverables.
• Data Management & Visualization: Utilize Alteryx to transform and manage a Capital Engineering Power BI dashboard. This dashboard will provide up-to-date information on capital expenditures, project approvals, resource allocation, and year-over-year performance comparisons. You will also contribute to improving the overall Capital Engineering data management strategy, aiming for a more automated data environment.
• Capital Plan Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for one or more ‘budget groups’ responsible for executing capital projects. This includes supporting the delivery of the current year’s capital plan and assisting in the creation of the following year’s plan.
• Stage Gate Governance: Actively participate in the weekly capital stage gate governance cycle. Duties will include setting meeting agendas, monitoring document compliance, managing meetings, and documenting follow-up actions.
Requirements:
• Education: Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management. At least two years of coursework completed.
• Experience: Prior internship experience is preferred but not required.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong attention to detail and a process-oriented approach.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities.
