Job Description: MVW Marketing Intern

This is an onsite, in-person internship for Marriott Vacations Worldwide’s direct marketing team (not digital, branding, or social media). The internship offers a chance to contribute to making vacation dreams a reality. The program provides hands-on experience in a sales center, immersing interns in the day-to-day operations of the marketing department.

Program Details:

The 10-12 week program includes:

Comprehensive onboarding: Familiarization with company procedures and operations.
Operational duties: Performing tasks within the assigned marketing department, potentially including aspects of non-commissioned marketing associate roles. There may also be opportunities to learn about commission-based sales roles and other departments.
eLearning and virtual meetings: Access to online training and interaction with company leaders.
Job shadowing: Observing and learning from experienced professionals.
Mentorship: Guidance and support from an on-site leader.
Department projects: Contributing to ongoing initiatives within the marketing department.
Exposure to successful Marketing & Sales operations: Understanding the factors driving on-site success.
Demonstration of company values: An opportunity to embody Marriott’s core beliefs.

Job Requirements:

In-person internship: Housing and relocation are NOT provided.
College student: Actively pursuing a college degree; a degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Sales, or Business is preferred, but undecided majors may also be considered.
Prior experience: Hospitality or sales experience is preferred. Past interns are given priority consideration for additional internships, with performance ratings factored in.
Availability: 4-5 days of open availability are required, including weekends and holidays.
Professional appearance: Maintaining a neat and clean appearance is essential, adhering to Marriott’s dress code guidelines (business casual, no jeans, shorts, or casual sportswear).

Compensation:

hourly rate: $20/hour.
