Job Description: Legal Internship (Summer 2025)
Advancement Project is seeking rising second and third-year law students for unpaid summer legal internships in 2025. The internship will be remote, although in-person opportunities may be available for students in the D.C. area.
Responsibilities: Interns will work closely with attorneys, organizers, and communications strategists to support grassroots campaign partners across the U.S. They will be supervised by intern coordinators. Specific tasks will likely involve legal research and writing.
Qualifications:
• Rising second or third-year law student.
• Excellent legal writing and research skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to racial justice, social movements, and/or civil rights.
• Experience in policy advocacy and/or community organizing (preferred).
• Thoughtful, creative, and energetic approach.
• Genuine desire to dismantle oppressive systems impacting Black, Brown, and poor people.
Compensation: The internship is unpaid. Applicants are encouraged to explore public interest grants or work-study options.
