Job Description: Medical Writing Intern (Summer 2025)
This is a fully remote, paid internship running 11 weeks, 40 hours per week (flexible), from June 2nd to August 15th, 2025. Interns will support the Clinical Services team and gain practical experience in pharmaceutical marketing, specifically medical writing.
Responsibilities include:
• Writing, revising, and annotating promotional medical content.
• Identifying supporting documentation and coordinating references.
• Checking the accuracy of cited information in promotional materials and medical, regulatory, and legal submissions.
• Evaluating literature for appropriate references.
• Developing writing projects.
• Assisting in the development of content outlines.
• Gaining exposure to the principles of medical writing and clients’ development of groundbreaking medicines and treatments.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program, ideally entering your junior or senior year in Fall 2025.
• High level of computer competency and intermediate or advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated interest in medical communications, healthcare, managed markets, and the healthcare delivery system.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize deadline-sensitive tasks.
Helpful Skills and Experience:
• Working knowledge of the AMA style guide.
• Working knowledge of managed markets, healthcare, and the healthcare delivery system.
• Leadership experience, including networking and relationship building.
The internship offers exposure to the principles of medical writing within the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on the creation of materials for promotional marketing and regulatory submissions. Interns will contribute directly to the development of impactful marketing content.
