Job Description: Design Internships (Summer 2025, Los Angeles)
WBD offers multiple Design internship opportunities in Los Angeles for Summer 2025. The internships are hybrid, requiring regular in-office presence based on the intern manager’s schedule. Applying to this posting considers you for all available Design internships.
Potential Internship Roles (examples):
• Creative Advertising Graphic Design Intern: Focusing on visual content creation.
• Brand Assurance Intern: Maintaining and evolving visual brand identity.
Responsibilities (may vary by role):
• Design Creation & Support: Creating various visual content (posters, banners, logos, etc.) for print and digital use, supporting internal promotions (line looks, theming, social media assets, etc.) without using AI software.
• Branding: Maintaining and evolving visual identities for titles and line looks, ensuring consistency across all materials.
• Creative Collaborations: Brainstorming and executing design ideas with the team.
• Asset Management: Organizing and preparing design files for production and delivery, optimizing assets for various platforms. General administrative duties (file management, project tracking, archiving).
• Research & Trend Analysis: Staying current on design trends and industry developments.
• Working with Brand Ambassadors (BAs): Understanding their submission processes, managing submissions from concept to completion, and reviewing pre-production samples.
• Meetings and Collaboration: Attending meetings with licensees, weekly staff, franchise, legal, and creative meetings.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university (proof required).
• Rising Junior or Senior undergraduate student (18+ years old).
• 3.0 GPA or higher (transcript required if offered position).
• Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Currently pursuing a degree or recent graduate in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects). Advanced Photoshop skills (retouching).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and design principles.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Passion for entertainment and pop culture.
• Attendance at weekly creative meetings.
• Knowledge of web and social media design principles (Figma or Sketch a plus).
• Motion graphics and video editing experience (a plus).
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with technology (Windows 10, Outlook, Zoom, Microsoft Word, Excel).
• Proficient typing skills and excellent command of English.
• Ability to accurately record feedback.
Additional Program Information:
• Duration: 11 weeks (two start date options: June 2nd – August 15th or June 9th – August 22nd).
• Hours: 35-40 hours per week (hybrid).
• Compensation: Paid internship ($19/hour for undergrads, $25/hour for graduates).
• Credit: Not required, but documentation provided if desired.
• Relocation: Not provided.
• Interviews: February through mid-April.
