Job Description:
This internship focuses on several key areas within the Talent Acquisition department:
1. Process Improvement and Project Management: The intern will document talent processes, aiming to improve efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities include assisting in the rollout of new initiatives and systems, preparing project documentation (timelines, status reports, post-project evaluations), gathering employee/manager feedback for process improvement identification, and identifying departmental process improvements to act as a resource for leaders in different functional areas.
2. Data Auditing and Visualization: Utilizing tools like Excel and Power BI, the intern will create visual representations of talent data, analyze data for patterns and trends, generate reports highlighting key findings and recommendations, and collaborate with hiring teams to implement data-driven improvements.
3. Learning and Development: The intern will complete 10 hours of Workday and other system-related training, 10 hours of job shadowing, and act as a Tier 1 Support analyst for internal requests and troubleshooting. Additional miscellaneous duties, analyses, reports, and presentations will also be assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Management Information Systems, Data Science, Human Resources, Aviation Management, or a related field.
• GPA: Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Skills: Advanced Microsoft Office skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, strong analytical skills.
• Location: Ability to work onsite at the Indianapolis headquarters (unless otherwise directed).
• Availability: Ability to work up to 40 hours per week, with a minimum of 20 hours for spring and fall interns.
• Eligibility: Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various documents (scientific, technical, financial, legal) and communicate effectively with diverse audiences (customers, regulatory agencies, top management).
• Reasoning/Problem Solving: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret documentation, and maintain confidentiality.
• Decision Making: Ability to make day-to-day decisions supporting strategic direction, often requiring independent thought and problem-solving.
• Physical Demands: Ability to move around the work environment, stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
The work environment is typically free from extreme conditions.
