Job Description: Cartier FP&A Finance Intern

This is a paid, full-time summer internship (June 2nd – August 8th) based in New York, NY, for a Finance Intern at Cartier, a Richemont Maison. The intern will support the FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) team, working closely with the FP&A Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Cartier Retail Projects Budget: This involves analyzing historical data to predict future trends, comparing actual performance against forecasts to identify risks and opportunities, collaborating with business partners to track project spending, creating presentations and reports for stakeholders, and assisting with automating financial reporting or ad-hoc projects.
Financial Data Analysis and Reporting: The role requires analyzing and interpreting financial data, presenting actionable insights, and maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in all financial analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:

Student Status: Currently enrolled in an accredited university/college program.
Experience: Prior experience in finance and/or retail is preferred but not mandatory.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI).
Industry Knowledge: Interest in luxury goods and an understanding of the luxury retail market is beneficial.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and present actionable insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Other Skills: Innovative thinking, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, energetic and eager to contribute, attention to detail.
Legal Requirements: Authorized to work in the United States (international students must have a current work visa; Richemont North America will not sponsor work visas for summer internships). Must be 18 years or older.
