Job Description: Intern, Social Media Marketing
This summer internship at Hyundai’s Marketing & Social Marketing department offers a chance to immerse oneself in the automotive social media world. The role is described as more than just completing tasks; it’s about shaping experiences and building connections.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, partners, and in-house teams to review and report on social media trends and platform updates.
• Work with agencies (Innocean and Canvas) to develop social content planning and production calendars.
• Research social media branded content and monitor Hyundai mentions across platforms and Facebook groups.
• Develop one innovative social media idea to benefit the Hyundai brand, creating a summary and presentation detailing its potential impact.
• Attend creative, media, and social media-related meetings to offer fresh perspectives and take detailed notes.
• Participate in organizational meetings to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company and its business.
• Meet with representatives from various business units (PR, CSR, H.com, CRM, Experiential, etc.) to gain a thorough understanding of the Hyundai brand and marketing objectives.
• Research competitor activities on social media channels/platforms and report on their engagement strategies.
Qualifications:
• Must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in an accredited program during the internship term.
• Expected graduation date must be between December 2025 and June 2027.
• Must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week.
• Must be a local candidate (National Headquarters in Fountain Valley, CA – no relocation assistance offered).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis.
• Hybrid schedule (onsite 3-4 days per week).
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
Timeline:
• Application Window: November 2024 to February 2025
• Interviews: February 2025 to April 2025
• Summer Program: June 2025 to August 2025
Compensation: $25.00/hour
Additional Notes: The internship is full-time and paid. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday).
