Job Description: Product Management Intern

This graduate-level internship at Tanium’s Durham, NC office offers hands-on experience enhancing B2B security and operations capabilities on the company’s Converged and Autonomous Endpoint Management Platform. The role is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a significant product improvement project from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with designers, subject matter experts, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the software lifecycle.
• Develop and deliver features used by Tanium’s customers. Past projects have included improving existing capabilities, integrating with external systems (e.g., report exports), and creating new features.
• Work closely with a dedicated mentor within the product management team.
• Produce a unique deliverable showcasing accomplishments for inclusion on a resume.
• Present project findings to the Tanium product and engineering leadership team.
• Participate in intern events and networking opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate students are highly preferred; undergraduates may be considered with relevant qualifications.
• Legal authorization to work in the US.
• Full-time availability June 9, 2025 – August 15, 2025.
• Current enrollment in a university degree program in computer science or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3.5 GPA.
• Expected graduation date of Spring 2026 or Fall 2025.
• Proven experience in completing software development projects using backend and/or frontend languages.
• Demonstrated self-motivation and a desire for continuous learning.
• Passion for technology, software, and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Some team leadership experience.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Prior internship or work experience in engineering, business, or government.

Compensation:

• hourly rate: $45-$60 (depending on factors like education, skills, and experience).
