Job Description: Moody’s Ratings Commercial Internship Program

This is a 10-week, full-time internship within Moody’s Commercial Group, located at 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY. The program offers a comprehensive understanding of Moody’s business and culture, along with opportunities to develop professional and technical skills.

Responsibilities: The intern will support the Commercial Operations team in various capacities, including:

Process Improvement: Assisting in the execution and enhancement of Commercial Group processes.
Performance Measurement: Contributing to the measurement and reporting of process performance.
Data Analysis: Researching, collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information; supporting data modeling and visualization efforts (using tools like Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, or similar).
Reporting & Presentations: Supporting the preparation of presentations and reports.
Administrative Support: Providing administrative assistance to the Commercial Operations team.
Initiative Implementation: Supporting the implementation of initiatives aimed at improving operational effectiveness and efficiency through data analysis, root cause identification, and recommendation development.
Documentation & Reporting: Assisting in the creation, rollout, audit, and maintenance of process and control documentation, dashboards, and reports; preparing a glossary of process and SFDC terminology.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Liaising with other Commercial teams (Billing, Collections, Pricing, and Ratings) to optimize Commercial processes.

Qualifications:

• Students currently enrolled in college pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Economics, Engineering, or Statistics.
• Expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027.
• Availability to work full-time during the program (June 2nd – August 8th, 2025).
• Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage workflow, adapt to change, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Curiosity, problem-solving skills, and openness to feedback.
• Customer-centric mindset.
• Proficiency or interest in learning Moody’s systems and processes, Microsoft Office Suite, data visualization tools, SQL, or other database technologies.
