Job Description: Product Management Intern
This is a graduate-level internship (undergraduates may be considered with sufficient qualifications) offering practical experience in enhancing B2B security and operations capabilities within Tanium’s Converged and Autonomous Endpoint Management Platform. The role is a hybrid position based in Tanium’s Emeryville, CA office.
Responsibilities:
• Lead a significant product enhancement project from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with designers, subject matter experts, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the software lifecycle.
• Improve existing capabilities by analyzing use cases, defining improvements, executing changes, and assessing results.
• Integrate with external systems (e.g., developing report exports).
• Meet regularly with a dedicated mentor.
• Create a unique project deliverable suitable for a resume.
• Present project results to the product and engineering leadership teams.
• Participate in intern events and networking activities.
Qualifications:
• Required:
• Graduate student status is highly preferred (undergraduates considered with strong qualifications).
• Legal authorization to work in the US.
• Full-time availability from June 9, 2025, to August 15, 2025.
• Current enrollment in a university degree program (computer science or related field).
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Expected graduation date of Spring 2026 or Fall 2025.
• Experience completing software development projects using backend and/or frontend languages.
• Self-motivation and a desire for continuous learning.
• Passion for technology and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Some team leadership experience.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Nice-to-have:
• Prior internship or work experience in engineering, business, or government.
Compensation:
The hourly rate is estimated at $50-$65 per hour, adjustable based on education, skills, and experience. Additional benefits include a housing stipend, 401k matching, and a monthly communication reimbursement allowance.
