Job Description: Summer Internship Program

This is a full-time, 10-week internship program (May 28, 2025 – August 1, 2025) designed to provide essential business insights and hands-on experience in computer science or information technology. It’s a learning-intensive program offering professional development sessions, networking opportunities, and mentorship. The internship is a hybrid model, combining in-office and remote work.

The internship experience is designed to:

• Provide opportunities to gain new skills and enhance existing ones in a forward-thinking business environment.
• Offer first-rate, hands-on experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Connect interns with industry professionals, providing mentorship and interaction with senior executives. A formal mentor will be assigned.

As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be part of two teams: your department and your intern peer group. Approximately 80% of your time will be dedicated to department and team-focused projects. The remaining 20% will be spent on professional development activities, including:

• Kickoff Conference (May 28th)
• Webinars
• Community service
• Cross-functional projects
• Final presentations

Internship responsibilities may include:

• Understanding and coding basic features, functions, and definitions.
• Writing clean, maintainable code following established coding standards.
• Implementing basic functionality based on provided design and guidance.
• Understanding technical requirements and technical design documents.
• Utilizing code branching strategies and change control methodologies.
• Assisting in fixing reported defects.
• Participating in planning, review, and status meetings.

Required Qualifications:

• Enrollment in an accredited college or university, graduating with a bachelor’s degree between December 2025 and May 2026.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for Charter Sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Programming experience in Java, JavaScript, or React.
• Experience with database and repository tools like GIT.
• Basic knowledge of coding principles.
• Understanding of applicable technical systems and programming concepts.
• Ability to follow standard practices and procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in software such as Adobe, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
