Job Description: 2025 Summer Internship (Finance)
PulteGroup offers internships providing hands-on experience and a strong foundation for long-term career goals within the homebuilding industry. Interns will gain a holistic understanding of the industry through rotational shadowing across various functions and departments. The Finance internship specifically focuses on:
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Gaining critical reporting literacy essential to the homebuilding business. This includes understanding the financial aspects of land acquisition.
• Business Advisory Role: Learning financial analytics and applying this knowledge to advise on business decisions and opportunities.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Working as a “financial bridge” between different departments, such as sales and field construction, to ensure fiscal success.
Responsibilities:
The intern’s financial capabilities will be key to connecting various aspects of the business. Specific management responsibilities are not applicable for this internship role. The scope of the work impacts individual projects, with no department or budgetary responsibilities, and no direct or indirect reports.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student (minimum sophomore status preferred) or graduated in the semester preceding the internship.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 preferred.
• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Marketing, Communication, Architecture, or a similar field.
• Skills: Curious, coachable, personable, patient, action-oriented, accountable, motivated, enthusiastic, strong verbal and written communication skills, tech-savvy (especially Excel and Microsoft Teams), strong organizational skills, self-motivation, learning agility, bias for action, and a strong interest in the homebuilding, real estate, or construction industry. Extracurricular involvement is a plus.
Internship Details:
• Dates: May 19, 2025 – August 8, 2025 (12 weeks, potentially adjusted).
• Schedule: 40 hours/week, varies based on position.
• Compensation: $20/hour (varies by position and location).
• Benefits: Eligibility for the company’s 401(k) plan.
• Format: Primarily in-person at one of 29 Division Offices or development communities. Includes shadowing opportunities and a potential capstone presentation.
