Job Description: Corporate Tax Intern/Trainee
This internship within PwC’s core tax practice offers a chance to contribute to a team solving complex business issues, from strategy to execution. Interns will gain experience in various aspects of corporate tax services, including:
• Client Service: Advising clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant on business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. This includes helping organizations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and providing advice on the tax implications of deals. The team focuses on improving clients’ tax functions to control risk and improve decision-making. Specific responsibilities include assisting with tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, and increasing post-tax profits.
• Tax Compliance: Participating in select phases of tax compliance engagements. This involves researching tax laws, rules, and regulations and analyzing their application to specific situations.
• Technical Expertise: Keeping up-to-date with technical developments in the area of specialization. Handling, manipulating, and analyzing data and information responsibly. This also includes leveraging automation and digitization within a professional services environment, working with large data sets to build models and use data visualization tools.
• Teamwork and Communication: Working as part of a team, building relationships with team members, proactively seeking guidance and feedback, demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing tasks, and exercising professional skepticism. Communicating confidently and clearly, both verbally and in written materials. Embracing diverse viewpoints and welcoming opposing ideas. Upholding the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct.

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• Meeting all educational requirements to be eligible for the primary credential license appropriate for the relevant practice area (e.g., 150 credit hours for CPA).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Client service intern experience (ideally 3rd or 4th year of a degree program).
• Demonstrated skills in researching and analyzing tax laws, client matters, and industry trends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivation and a desire for professional growth.
• Experience with automation & digitization in a professional services environment.
• Desire to pursue a career in Tax.
