About the Company:

Sam’s Club is expanding its global presence, creating a need for highly skilled individuals with a global mindset to work in their international corporate offices. This International Merchandising Program is designed to attract top students interested in international business careers.

Job Description:

This is a unique 9-month training program followed by a permanent position in Shenzhen, China. The program aims to equip associates with the skills and knowledge to excel in international merchandising roles. The program is *not• an expatriate program; the career path is entirely within Sam’s Club China. Sam’s Club will not sponsor visas for this position.

Training in Bentonville, Arkansas (Up to 9 Months):

The initial phase involves comprehensive training at Sam’s Club’s home office in Bentonville, Arkansas. This includes:

• Classroom sessions covering various aspects of retail operations.
• Hands-on experience in club operations.
• One-on-one mentoring with experienced professionals.
• Management of a subset of products currently sold in stores.

Merchandising Role in Shenzhen, China (Ongoing):

Upon successful completion of the U.S. training, the associate will transfer to Shenzhen, China, to assume a critical merchandising role. Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the development and management of new and existing product lines.
• Partnering with the replenishment team to execute and maintain inventory plans.
• Collaborating with the planning team to manage profit and loss (P&L) and financial forecasting.
• Managing supplier relationships.
• Building successful modulars to meet customer needs and category growth.
• Achieving sales and profit plans by understanding customer needs and market trends.
• Monitoring market share relative to the competition.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding and implementation of the Sam’s Club business model, contributing to the company’s global growth and brand expansion.
