Job Description: Summer 2025 Intern Manufacturing Engineer (Job ID: 682497BR)
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2025 intern to support manufacturing engineering activities. This is a part-time position, working a 4×10 hour day schedule with 3 days off per week. The role will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Relocation may be possible.
Responsibilities:
• Support manufacturing engineering activities.
• Write and/or modify manufacturing work instructions.
• Route builds in SAP ERP software.
• Review designs for manufacturability.
Qualifications:
• Basic Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of dynamic component assembly or mechanical assembly.
• Technical educational background.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office suite).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Desired Skills:
• Basic knowledge of using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• Basic knowledge of using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing.
• Prior exposure to a production or support environment, testing, or training.
• Self-starter with a strong sense of self-direction.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Interest in a production/factory setting.
