Job Description: Intern / Trainee in Corporate Tax Services
This internship offers the opportunity to work within PwC’s core tax practice, contributing to various aspects of tax compliance engagements and strategic advisory services. The role involves assisting clients in meeting their tax obligations while optimizing their business strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Client Service: Advising clients on local and international tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant on business analysis, working capital management, and profit sharing for partners. Providing guidance on transfer pricing (pricing of goods and services between related parties) and the tax implications of business deals. Improving clients’ tax functions to mitigate risk and enhance decision-making.
• Tax Strategy & Compliance: Supporting businesses with tax strategy development, ensuring tax compliance, and maximizing post-tax profits. Providing application support to implement best corporate tax practices.
• Technical Work: Participating in phases of tax compliance engagements. Researching tax laws, rules, and regulations, and applying them to specific client situations. Analyzing data and information responsibly.
• Teamwork & Professional Development: Working collaboratively as part of a problem-solving team. Building strong relationships with team members. Proactively seeking feedback and guidance. Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing tasks. Maintaining professional skepticism. Adhering to the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct. Utilizing PwC’s internal professional development framework (PwC Professional).
Specific Intern Responsibilities:
• Participating in select phases of tax compliance engagements.
• Researching tax laws, rules and regulations, and analyzing their application to specific situations.

• Proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback.
• Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while exercising professional skepticism.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (minimum 3.0 GPA). Internship timing is typically during the winter/spring or summer before graduation (3rd year of a 4-year program or 4th year of a 5-year program).
• Preferred Qualifications: Client service experience. Progress towards or possession of a CPA license (meeting 150 credit hour requirement or equivalent).
• Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrated abilities in researching and analyzing tax laws and regulations, interacting with clients and firm management, and exhibiting self-motivation. Experience with automation and digitization in a professional services setting, including working with large datasets and data visualization tools. A demonstrable interest in pursuing a career in tax. Experience researching business and industry trends.
Compensation & Benefits: The salary range is listed as $28.00 – $44.75 (specific location dependent). PwC offers a comprehensive benefits package.
