Job Description: Research Internship
Salesforce Research is seeking outstanding research interns with a strong background in one or more of the following areas: Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, and General Machine Learning.
Research Focus Areas (includes, but is not limited to):
• AI Agents
• AI for Software Developers
• AI for Operations/Time Series
• Responsible & Trusted AI
• AI for Knowledge Management
• Mobile AI
• Multimodal AI
• Large Language/Action Modeling
• Human-AI Interaction
• Automatic Evaluation
Preferred Qualifications:
• Publications in top-tier conferences or journals (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, CVPR, CHI) are preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with a team of research scientists and engineers on a project, ideally leading to a submission to a top-tier conference.
• Learn about exciting research and applications outside your area of expertise.
• Focus on pure research that integrates with your PhD focus area and contributes to the AI community.
• Attend conferences with researchers to present accepted papers.
Requirements:
• PhD/MS candidate in a relevant research area.
• Excellent understanding of deep learning techniques (e.g., CNN, RNN, LSTM, GRU, GAN, attention models, and optimization methods).
• Experience with one or more deep learning libraries and platforms (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Caffe, or Chainer).
• Strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or reinforcement learning.
• Strong algorithmic problem-solving skills.
• Programming experience in Python, Java, C/C++, Lua, or a similar language.
• Internship duration: Minimum 12 weeks.
